Just a quickie today. This is a layout for Sassy 'Lil Sketches, my first for this site. I love a sketch for getting the mojo flowing.

July Scrap Jacked

It is that time again.... the July Scrap Jacked challenge it up and waiting to inspire you!
This month we have three wonderful prizes up for grabs, so come on over and check it out.

I have actually been doing some sewing for the first time in ages so I took advantage of my machine being set up to do some stitching on my LO. I used to do this all the time but then my scrapping took over my sewing room and the sewing machine was banished to the cupboard and I was too lazy to get it out every time I wanted a row of stitching.
Pop back later and I'll have some pics of the sewing projects I am working on, mostly UFOs and
refashions.

I have to give credit to Tiff over at Scrap Therapy for this clever idea of printing onto the masking tape, I love this technique.

So who will you jack this month???

Using up those scraps

I have a heap of LO on the go at the moment but I can't seem to finish them off for one reason or another, so I thought I would show you a few cards that I made on my craft weekend last month. I have been trying to make an effort to use up lots of my scraps. I don't throw much away so cards are perfect for this.

There were a couple of very clever card makers there whose cards make mine look so simple. Hopefully they will be there again next year and I can try a few of them for myself.
If all goes to plan I should be able to share some LO's really soon.

Thanks
Lisa

Running away with the circus

The kids have been doing circus classes for the last couple of years and they have an absolute ball. While the girls had both enjoyed gymnastics for many years the competitive nature of it was taking away their enjoyment of the sport. Circus is such a friendly and positive environment where everyone encourages each other and is genuinely excited to see someone master a new skill.
These pics were taken at the Knox Festival earlier this year where DD1 roved the crowds on stilts, she even jumped joined in a zumba demonstration on them! Can you imagine???

See you next time.

June Scrap Jacked

Junes challenge is up and all I can say is WOW! And even though I can't win one of the gorgeous prizes, I have been inspired by Julies LO and have made a start on my version. After that I want to Jack Mandy's LO. This is my contribution for this month.

Hope to see you LO's soon.

Thanks to Recycled Fashion

A great big thank you to Erica over at Recycled Fashion for this wonderful prize,  Op-shop Guide, Victoria. I am a long time op-shopper and I'm always up for a good old rummage so this book will  be living in my car and it will certainly be well used. Erica asked for our op-shopping tips and there were some good ones!
I haven't put any of my refashioned sewing projects on my blog yet (haven't sewn much recently) but I will.
